Having seen 21 Jump Street and absolutely laughing my socks off at it, I was pretty keen to watch the sequel. It did not disappoint.
First of all, I love comedies. There is nothing better than crying from laughter and there were several scenes in the movie where that happened. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are pretty darn hilarious and I feel that their friendship and acting partnership made the movie.
I like how the sequel wasn't particularly repetitive of the first movie [aside from the fact that it's still based around the same 'cop undercover busting drugs' idea] and I feel that 22 Jump Street could actually have been a singular movie.
It did sadden me how the love interest from 21 Jump Street didn't appear in 22 Jump Street but I love the new girl and how she ties in with everything [no spoilers from me!].
So, all in all, I really recommend you watch this fabulous movie and if you're worried it won't live up to 21 Jump Street, don't worry; it does [and in my opinion, surpasses it].
thanks for the review, now I'm definitely off to see it, if it's even still out at the cinemas. I loved the 1st one and now can't wait to see the 2nd :D Channing and Jonah have such good on screen bromance chemistry haha :D love it

DeleteI've been quite keen to see this but as I haven't seen 21 Jump Street, I wasn't sure whether I'd feel a bit lost watching 22 Jump Street.
